iCell+ is a 4G cellular router designed to provide connectivity at remote and urban locations.

Features and benefits

iCell+ is a 4G/LTE cellular router 4G with 3G/2G fallback.   Offering speeds up to 100Mbps (dependent on network/SIM) it delivers high speed wireless connectivity between the roadside and a central management system.

With integrated iMesh functionality it can provide the bridge between an on-street iMesh network and a central management system.    With integrated iJTM functionality (available as an option) it can provide journey time monitoring at isolated sites or as part of a wider iMesh scheme.

iCell+ is available in two enclosure formats as shown in Figure 1 above:

An external-grade router which can be powered by mains, dc or power-over-ethernet. With this option the antenna is integrated into the front face of the enclosure.

A cabinet-grade router where the iCell+ electronics is installed in a roadside cabinet.   This uses a passive antenna up the traffic signal pole.   With this option there is no electronics up the pole which makes maintenance easier.

The external-grade version can be powered from mains or Power-Over-Ethernet and is rated to IP67.   It comes complete with column mounting brackets suitable for traffic signal poles or street lighting columns.

The cabinet-grade iCell+ comes in an IP54 enclosure an can be mounted on a cabinet backplane (chassis), shelf or DIN rail.   Power options are Mains (with supplied AC/DC PSU) or 12~24V DC (please specify at time of order).
